Carolyn A. Fahey

Carolyn (Carrie) Fahey is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. Her research interests center on understanding and addressing social, economic, and environmental determinants of health affecting vulnerable populations.

She completed her PhD in Epidemiology at the University of California, Berkeley. Her doctoral work evaluated scalable, patient-centered strategies to improve access and adherence to HIV treatment. These interventions include clinic-based financial incentives delivered using mobile health technology (mHealth) and targeted "cash plus" psychosocial support using real-time predictive analytics.

She has expertise designing, implementing, and analyzing data from randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental studies, and longitudinal cohorts in the United States and sub-Saharan Africa.
