Effective treatment of HIV can enable individuals to lead healthy lives and prevent transmission to others, however socioeconomic factors often present obstacles to adherence. This randomized trial provided short-term monetary incentives for monthly visit attendance to adults starting antiretroviral therapy in Tanzania. We evaluated effects on 6-month viral suppression.

This analysis evaluated effects on food insecurity, nutrition, and employment.

What is the association between immigration-policy concerns and the health outcomes in US-born Latino adolescents from immigrant families? In this cohort study of 397 US-born adolescents in California, fear and worry about the personal consequences of current US immigration policy were associated with higher anxiety levels, sleep problems, and blood pressure changes. Reported anxiety statistically significantly increased after the 2016 presidential election, particularly among young people in the most vulnerable families. The current immigration policy and rhetoric appear to be associated with adverse mental health outcomes among US citizen children of immigrants.
